Someone's stalking Steven Tyler...

For a music teacher, Jenni Schick doesn’t strike us as the nurturing kind. For a start, she describes the least favourite part of her job as teaching recorders. Jenni says:  “30 recorders in one room with beginning recorder players makes me wanna vomit.”

Luckily, the 24 year old from Sterling, Virginia has other matters on her mind. She’s excited to meet Steven Tyler (aren’t they all?) because the Aerosmith frontman just so happens to be on her bucket list of celebrities she’s allowed to kiss. The other names on her list are Lady Gaga and Adam Levine. If you listened carefully enough during that part, you could hear the producers of The Voice breathing a sigh of relief.

She does, however, reveal that on her boyfriend’s list is…Ryan Seacrest. And to be fair to Seacrest, he handles the innuendo with great dignity. Although he declines to kiss Jenni when she offers.

A bit of thinly-veiled, almost soft-porn flirting with Steven Tyler later, and Jenni finally gets down to auditioning. She chooses to sing Heartbreaker by Pat Benetar. Although she doesn’t have the strongest of voices, Jenni certainly stood out from the majority of bland blondes that we’ve seen on the show. She tackled the chorus with an especially throaty rawk vocal, and her performance had bags of sexy attitude. Not to mention that short, tight-fitting skirt!

Randy Jackson called the performance “kinda wild, crazy, anything can happen”, while Jennifer Lopez commented: “I’m gonna say yes too. I like your energy.” All three judges vote to send Jenni through to Hollywood and she’s rewarded with a smooch on the lips from Mr. Steven Tyler!
